Disciple Ship (Part Three)
Nakatunda |
A Warm Nakatunda Welcome |
Under The Baobab |
Mac Breaking The Spirit Of Infirmity Off The Children Of Nakatunda In The Name Of Jesus |
During our time with the villagers in Nakatunda it became apparent that this village is a key piece of what God is doing amongst the Tonga people of Zambia and Zimbabwe. We were so touched by our time in Nakatunda and feel it is just a glimmer of the revival God is birthing in the much forgotten about Tonga peoples of Southern Africa............More to come.

Disciple Ship (Part 2)
Mukuyu Village |
Amon Being Baptized |
Kenneth Being Baptized |
Kenneth Baptizing A Sister In Christ |
The first stop on Disciple Ship's six day journey was the small fishing village of Mukuyu. After securing Disciple Ship the team jumped into the smaller speed boat being towed behind and headed for the village. As we approached the village we were greeted by children squealing with excitement at the site of visitors. Our goal was to find two men that had been identified as potential leaders during a previous trip our hosts Bruce and Sue had conducted. It did not take long to find both Amon and Kenneth and to get debriefed on what God had been doing in their lives.
Kenneth's testimony was especially moving as he described how he had been tormented by an event where he had fallen off a fishing rig and survived despite being under the water for thirty five minutes. When he came to he found that his ordeal had caused his co-workers and boss to believe he had visited the ancestral spirits and was subsequently outcast from the community. These events had greatly disturbed Kenneth who believed he was cursed and destined to die. The team began to minister to Kenneth encouraging him that there is One that could bring him everlasting life and freedom from the fear that so tightly gripped his life. He said he was ready for that and requested to be baptized. As we prayed for him his whole countenance changed and his eyes seems to look straight through us. We watched as the demonic spirits that had tormented him for so long struggled to stay in control. He burped several times, something that is common when demons are being cast out of someone, and then seemed to come back to consciousness. We immediately described to the onlooking crowd what had transpired and detailed what would happening shortly as Kenneth was baptized. Words cannot describe the look on Kenneth's face as he came into the realization that his past was buried with Christ and a new life lay ahead as he came out of that croc infested water. Amon was also baptized as were two other young village girls who also decided to turn their lives over to the Father.
Later the same evening we showed the Jesus film and then briefly shared the Gospel. Several words of knowledge were shared and many responded and received prayers for deliverance from the darkness they had lived in for so many years. Pray for the villagers of Mukuyu and the work God is doing in separating for Himself a nation from the Tongas of Lake Kariba................more to come next time

Disciple Ship (Part 1)
For the last six days Brent and Luke joined a team of men from England, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia on a outreach trip on Lake Kariba. The lake lies between Zambia and Zimbabwe and is so large it is classified as an inland sea. Before the lake was dammed the land beneath it was home to the Tonga peoples. The tribe is now separated by this massive body of water and all along its banks exist small remote fishing villages.
The focus of the trip was to conduct outreach in two strategic villages through the showing of the Jesus Film as well as preaching and baptizing of new believers. The team boarded a large boat appropriately named Disciple Ship and set out to see the Kingdom advanced in these very unreached villages. This vessel is maintained by Bruce and Sue Douglas of Zimbabwe and is regularly used to conduct ministry in these otherwise hard to reach areas.
The Tonga are a people that are steeped in witchcraft and very much controlled and oppressed by a spirit of fear and tradition. The trip produced many testimonies of God's power overcoming the darkness that tightly grips these peoples. Stay tuned as we will have a series of posts details the trips events............

Give A Man A Fish..........
Pfumbudza Pamphlet |
Many nations represented as we pray for God's anointing and blessing upon the Pfumvudza Program at a local demonstration plot |
Remember the old proverb.......give a man a fish and feed for a day..........teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Recently Brent and Luke attended Foundations for Farming's semiannual champs conference in Zimbabwe. The conference provided insight into what God is speaking prophetically over Southern Africa as well as introducing a new God revealed agricultural program focused and feeding Africa one family at a time. "Pfumvudza" is the Shona word for a "new season" and that is exactly what this program is focused on ushering in. In preliminary trials the program has proved successful in providing enough food for a family of seven for a whole year for the affordable price tag of $50. During the conference testimonies were given by local Shona farmers detailing the massive change the program has produce in the lives of their families. The most exciting aspect of this program is that not only will it address physical hunger but more importantly the spiritual hunger of a continent thirsty for the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Eleeo Project is committed to implementing the principles of "Pfumvudza" locally as we reach out the Tonga peoples of Southern Zambia. Please pray that God would provide fresh revelation on how best we might glorify Him as we teach "men and women and children to fish"...........

Snake
Every once in while something happens here that makes you
remember that you are living in Africa. A good example occurred a few weeks ago
when a farm worker came to our gate and told Kerri Roberts he had something to
show her. That thing happened to a twelve foot rock python. The worker said
that he had killed it (in fear) and was going to harvest oil from the snake
that is used locally to treat ear conditions. Although we have never seen one
this big, rock pythons can grow bigger.
