Please Pray For Our Outreach

Dear Family and Friends.

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful month of May, thanks to all those lovely April showers!! The Whitfield six are doing great and counting down the weeks until family comes to visit!!!! I had a great birthday last week and will enjoy this last year in my twenties to the fullest!!! Hope all the mothers had a great Mother’s day last Sunday and felt extra special. I am blessed to have four little ones to give me kisses this Mother’s day!!! Marley girl is 11 weeks old this week and will be getting more shots next week. That’s always fun!!! Macie is working hard these past weeks to get all her math and reading assignments finished before Papa Drew and Noah come May 29th! Emma is practicing her reading and doing quite well. She is very excited to start Kindergarten this August and can’t wait to open all her new schoolbooks! Payton is growing like a weed and has perfected the names of the colors. He loves to color and do play dough but it quickly turns into a throwing game and the play dough is the ball. It takes him a while to pick up the mess, as you can imagine!!! The kids were sad as they said goodbye to one of the turtles that died and was covered in ants. But they have a new chameleon to keep them busy and we are hoping they don’t kill it before Noah (8 year old uncle) comes to visit. We are looking forward to our trips to Malawi and Livingston in June with the visiting family members and getting a break from everyday life here in Lusaka.

This week is an exciting week for Great Commission Baptist Church. As you might recall, this is the new church that our family and the Roberts family have been assigned to partner with. We have been helping them plan an evangelistic outreach that will take place this Friday and Saturday at 6pm. Last Saturday Luke and Emma stapled posters up all around Chilenje, the part of town that the church is located. We will be showing the Passion of the Christ in two sessions on a large screen in the football pitch. Each night there will be a gospel message presented, booklets to hand out and questions to talk about with those who desire more information. The hope of this outreach is to lead the lost to Christ and to plug them into Great Commission Church for discipleship. The church is planning to start a Bible study just for new believers. We are so excited for all that God is going to do and we ask for your prayers for the lost souls that will attend.
Please also lift up in prayer our house keeper Pauline. She is having her fourth baby June 9th. The baby is breech and the doctors are going to try to move the baby tomorrow morning. We are praying that the baby will move on its own and that the doctors will have wisdom. Thank you for your prayers for her also.

We appreciate you’re continued support and love. We love hearing from you in response to these e-mails. Thank you for your prayers and we will continue to keep you updated.
Much love and Blessings,
Luke and EliseMacie, Emma, Payton and Marley
