Going to fight in the bush...

Dear Friends

Hello again, wanted to just drop a quick note and ask you to partner with us in prayer for an evangelistic trip coming up later this week (July 15-18). Emma and I (Luke) will be joining a team of 12 others associated with AZ to go back into some remote areas in the Southern Province of Zambia. You may recall that last year we did a similar trip (that time with Macie) around December where we showed the Jesus Film in Tonga which is the local dialect. This trip will be similar in the fact that we again will be showing the Jesus Film but we are also expecting a lot more opportunity to minister to those who will come to the viewings.

During a recent trip to the same area, we visited with the local chieftainess (who has become an adoptive grandparent to the kids) and listened as she expressed her concern that witchcraft seems to be advancing in prevalence within her chiefdom. Great fear has gripped many of her people as well as many of her own family. Within the span of a few months she has lost two immediate family members suddenly to unexpected deaths, watched her own daughter unexplainably collapse and listened to the concerns of her husband that demonic activity appears to be oppressing the lives of many of the local headmen. There is no mistake that all of this is an attempt of the enemy to destroy the zeal of this dear woman in wanting to see the development of her kingdom as well as the future of her people be rooted soundly in the name of Jesus.

A great spiritual battle is going on in Chikankata and we are so excited to have the privilege to stand in the gap declaring the realities of His kingdom to come into existence in this situation. This is the main reason I feel the Lord has assembled this team from AZ to travel to Chik as ambassadors of His Kingdom. Please pray for us, the team is unified in our objective and has been seeking the Lord's presence and power through prayer and fasting. Pray specifically for deliverance, that a shift in spiritual dominion would occur during our time there and that the current presence of darkness would flee in response to the "Light" we are carrying within us. Pray for the power of God to be displayed, for eyes to be open, ears to hear, and hearts full of fear to be fill instead with that great peace that surpasses all understanding. Above all pray that the name of Jesus would be glorified and proclaimed to many without hope.

Thanks in advance for your participation in response to this request......it is such a joy and a source of great boldness to minister with the knowledge that masses are united petitioning Him on our behalf.......the Body of Christ is such a cool thing!
