Water Valley!

Water Valley is the name of our property! We live on a commercial farm owned by local white Zambian farmers, The Reeve family. They grow wheat and soy beans. There is a dam close by and we have a beautiful view of the surrounding villages and farms! Our house and the Roberts (our teammates) are about a football field apart. The farmers fixed up the two houses and made them so nice for us to move into. What a blessing! Thank you Jesus!

Power Outages!

We have experienced many power outages as we suspected living in the bush. Last week Luke spent all day installing solar lights throughout our house! What a HUGE project that was and what a HUGE mess. Not only were the walls covered in red dirt, but so were Luke and I (I was his lovely assistant). Quite amazing to think that our whole house is made from red clay bricks!

Our New Church Family!

Today was our second week at our new church, Mazabuka Community Church. Our pastor and friend Shawn Kelly is an awesome man of God! We have felt so warmly welcomed by this church and have met so many wonderful people. We look forward to more fellowship and we thank God for their partnership! The kids have fun in their class too!

This is our view on the hour long trip to church! Mazabuka is the town we live on the outskirts of. Chikankata is the village/district we live in and work in! Our house is about 10 miles down this dirt road. It takes about an hour to get to the nearest stores.

It’s been 2 years!!!!!!!

In the hustle and bustle of moving back to Zambia, getting settled into our house, getting our bodies used to the time change and starting school last week, we forgot to mention that February marks two years since ChiChi became part of our family! Thank you Jesus for ChiChi and may God continue to grow him into the little man He desires him to be. God help us to be the parents/family you desire us to be for him. Thank you all for your prayers and love for our family!

Safe & Sound In South Africa

Its almost here! Late last week we received confirmation that Eleeo Project's forty foot shipping container had arrived at the port in Durban, South Africa. The container contains over 25,000 pounds worth of ministry items such as: nutritional supplements for malnourished children, clothing to be donated as well as many other items that will be a blessing to the needy here in Chikankata.

Please continue to pray that the container would safely complete the remainder of its journey from South Africa to Zambia. Also pray that we would be able to clear it through customs with no headaches......thanks again to all you prayer warriors!

Answered Prayers

Sunday we had a wonderful visit with the Chiefteness! She fed us traditional Zambian food for lunch and we enjoyed catching up with her. We presented her with some gifts from American and she was so thankful. We had a sweet time of prayer and great talks about all our plan for the future and what we believe God is going to do!! She shared with us that God has totally healed her of Diabetes. We have been praying for her health and we asked many of you to also, so we wanted to make sure we shared with all of you what the Lord has done!!! SO AWESOME!

We're Back!!!!

We have had a full 5 days already. The 8 hour time change is still effecting us, on top of getting used to all the bugs and lots of mud that rainy season brings! Early Thursday morning we were warmly welcomed by our good friends and teammates the Roberts, and another good friend Nathanja! It took 3 cars to get all 21 bags and our family down to our house. First, they took us to the grocery store in Lusaka and then we trecked the 2 hours down to Chik! We had a (happy) tearful greeting by our workers Pauline and Movette! Honestly, Thursday is quite a blur, but these last four days have been filled, with unpacking, organizing, reorganizing, and today celebrating Tazi's 4th Birthday!!!!
